A love letter to San Francisco.

In 2021, Nike announced a league-wide program to introduce new uniforms for each team in the MLB. The uniform designs would be inspired by elements of each city (in the case of San Francisco, the fog and Golden Gate Bridge). With these elements in mind, I wrote and edited this piece that looked at San Francisco from a different perspective: the viewpoint of a local, who sees more than just fog and landmarks.

Role: Writer/Editor

When writing this description for the uniform launch, I was inspired by the geographic elusiveness of San Francisco Bay; European explorers kept passing by it for centuries before “discovering” it.

As mass media distills the city down to clichés and stereotypes, I wanted to highlight the beauty that its citizens experience on a daily basis.

With the help of local celebrities and influencers, we launched a full social media campaign along with the video.
