In the summer of 2018, the San Francisco Giants were planning to retire the number of Barry Bonds, #25. While visiting the Louisville Slugger museum on vacation, I was struck with an idea: we could showcase Bonds’ accomplishments on props from throughout his career (e.g., bats, balls, gloves). In the span of one week, we shot and edited everything in-house, with SF native Danny Glover as our narrator. The video debuted in front of 40,000+ people at Bonds’ number retirement ceremony at Oracle Park.
